Many Drug-Free Workplace policies  include a “Reasonable Suspicion” clause for drug and alcohol testing, but supervisors often lack the knowledge to apply it correctly. This course meets U.S. Department of Transportation requirements by providing one hour of training on alcohol misuse and one hour on drug abuse.

Topics include:

  • The supervisor’s role and responsibilities
  • How to observe and document employee behavior Signs and symptoms of alcohol and drug use
  • Approaching an impaired employee
  • Real-world scenarios and decision-making
  • When to test, when not to test, and refusals
  • Testing procedures and compliance
